چکیده

Abstract In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic led to an unprecedented destabilization of world's health and economic systems. The rapid spread life-threatening consequences have imposed testing repurposed drugs, by investigating interventions already used in other indications, including anticancer drugs. contours drug repurposing been shaped similarities between pathogenesis malignancies, abnormal inflammatory immunologic responses. this review, we discuss salient positive negative points drugs advance treatments for COVID-19. Significance: Targeting anti-inflammatory pathways with JAK/STAT inhibitors or anticytokine therapies aiming curb COVID-19–related cytokine storm, using antiangiogenic reduce vascular abnormalities immune-checkpoint improve antiviral defenses, could be value However, conflicting data on efficacy point need better patient selection biomarker studies.
